What a beautiful day, oh! With Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga, George Miller returns to the big screen nearly ten years after shocking moviegoers with the debut of Mad Max: Fury Road. As a prequel to Fury Road, the movie will center on a youthful Furiosa in the moments leading up to her attempt to flee from Immortan Joe.
The Mad Max franchise, which began in 1979 and has now spanned more than 40 years, will feature this movie as its fifth installment. Every movie in the series up to this point has centered on Max Rockatansky and his explorations in a dystopian wasteland. This is all the information we currently know about this prequel spinoff, which will be the first in the series not centered on Max.
The movie Furiosa will open in theaters on May 24, 2024. The other big release scheduled for Memorial Day weekend is Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes. This is one of the two. The same weekend saw the release of Fury Road in 2015, and it had a respectable run in theaters.

Since this film is a prequel to Fury Road, nearly every member of the cast will be a newcomer to the Mad Max series. Anya Taylor-Joy, who will succeed Charlize Theron in the role of Furiosa, has already made a name for herself as one of the leading ladies of her time with her parts in The Witch, The Queen's Gambit, and numerous more motion pictures and television series. Chris Hemsworth, who is slated to portray Warlord Dementus, the film's antagonist, will accompany her. Hemsworth, who has spent the last ten years playing Thor in the Marvel universe, will have to adjust a little for the role of Dementus.
Tom Burke and Alyla Browne will accompany Hemsworth and Taylor-Joy. Returning to their respective roles from Fury Road, Nathan Jones and Angus Sampson will play Rictus Erectus and the Organic Mechanic, respectively, in Furiosa.
On November 30, 2023, the first trailer for Furiosa was published. It included some extra information for those who wanted to know as much as they could about the plot of Furiosa.
A young Furiosa is abducted from her family 45 years after the collapse. For the rest of her life, she will focus on getting home. This journey is hers.
Anyone who enjoyed Fury Road will recognize the desolation and several customized automobiles seen in the trailer. It's unclear how much the plots of Furiosa and Fury Road will resemble each other. However, the clip definitely emphasizes action, giving fans of the series hope that it will share many similarities with Fury Road.
Furiosa will only be available in cinemas for its first run, though it might later come to streaming services. Based on box office performance, this means that it will probably do okay there. Furiosa might end up playing exclusively in cinemas for a few months before making its way to streaming services, as Fury Road's standing as one of the best action films ever produced has only increased in the years since the first film's release.
