Review of TOUBA TERA JALWA

Review: 'Tauba Tera Jalwa' is essentially a scam movie, but sadly, it falls victim to awful acting, poor direction, and a poor writing, which makes it more than just 'bad' movie. A cinematic adventure that might have lasted no more than 100 minutes becomes a tiresome 130-minute endurance test. Even though a gun is introduced in the first act, Chekhov's Gun principle is mostly ignored in the following acts. Layered throughout, the suspense breaks down in the climax, transforming into a sequence of inadvertently humorous scenes. While not living up to expectations, "Tauba Tera Jalwa" offers spectators an experience that goes beyond average.

The movie centers on real estate magnate Romi Tyagi (Jatin Khurana), who considers himself a self-made man and has a large following of enemies as a result of his success. Romi accepts the challenge of going into politics when it is provided to him, and as things happen, he meets Professor Syed Ahmad (Rajesh Sharma), who offers his skills as a political speechwriter. After telling Romi that his wife Laila Khan (Ameesha Patel), who lives in London, is coming to town, Professor Syed asks Romi to stay at his luxurious home for a few days. Romi's wife Rinku (Angela Krislinzki) first objects to her husband's choice, but in the end she accepts it. The dynamics in the home gradually change with the arrival of the professor and his spouse.

The main cast of "Tauba Tera Jalwa" has terrible performances. When it comes to romantic or emotional scenes, Jatin Khurana, who plays Romi Tyagi, completely loses the opportunity to show off his skills. Even after more than 20 years in the movie business, Ameesha Patel still finds it difficult to give compelling performances. The film's terrible storyline overshadows even Rajesh Sharma's excellent performance as Professor Syed, who is the only bright spot.

The main character, who is meant to be a cunning, self-made man, falls short of portraying these qualities on screen. The fact that a plot involving two people (working covertly) deceiving a third party includes their connection being publicly displayed on Instagram is also confusing. "Tauba Tera Jalwa" makes a strong case for being a movie that should be avoided.
